Moving to Music City

Wanderlust and city dust, we’re moving to Music City. NASHVILLE HERE WE COME!

Nashville is such a beautiful city and we can’t wait to explore!

Apparently we aren’t the only ones who decided to house shop in a pandemic. The Nashville market is HOT. We looked at a couple dozen houses. Our realtor, Lauren, was so patient with us! We looked in multiple cities and in multiple areas. Nashville has so many cute houses.

It’s not easy moving to a new city in a global pandemic, but we have still been able to explore the city. Tennessee has many cool parks and fun places to explore.

Zoey is loving exploring all the parks!

After looking at hundreds of houses on Zillow, seeing 20+ houses in person, offering on 3 other houses, we FINALLY FOUND A HOUSE!

We found this cute house, dog statues included! It’s a bit smaller than I’m used to - 1,000 square feet. My duplex was 1,100 square feet PLUS garage and our house in Iowa was 1,000 square feet plus basement and garage. Well I guess this means I need to Marie Kondo & The Home Edit my stuff. Time to downsize…eventually.

We got rid of quite a bit of furniture in the move, we weren’t sure what was going to fit in this house.

The one thing to keep in mind when looking at houses, is that photographers edit the color. This house was a different color in EVERY room. Check out the yellow kitchen! It was MUCH brighter in person.

Zoey loves our new yard - almost 1/3 of an acre (double what we had in Iowa)! There’s so many new smells!

We look forward to painting everything and getting a clean start as we settle into the new house.
